Peru's export sector to create 310,000 jobs in 2017
According to the exporters association, the improved export situation might lead to 100,000 direct, 38,000 indirect and 172,000 induced new jobs, depending on the measures contributing to the sector's competitiveness.
A survey conducted on businessmen revealed that productivity-oriented innovation and the attempt to diversify exports is a key issue on the agenda, as is red tape and legal barriers, and the development of new promotional strategies that adjust exports to the markets' new conditions.
