Philippine coconut industry has China and Russia in its sights

The departmental director of the Philippines coconut industry indicated on Monday that China and Russia are showing interest and are willing to accept more products from the Philippines. The two countries will take action soon. The Philippines is always working hard on strengthening in the key industries with China and Russia, especially the bilateral trade and investment relationship in the agricultural department. Department director of the Philippines coconut industry said that not only will they expand the foreign market, but the goal of the institution is to encourage and increase the development of the coconut products, to turn it into the main industry of the agricultural department and revive the industry. According to the Philippines coconut industry department, currently there are 3 million 500 thousand hectares coconuts planting in the Philippines. In the past five years, the value the industry has created is 900 million dollars on average.
