Kickoff during Bella Vita in Amsterdam-RAI
NL: Fris-Co starts importing Italian fresh produce
Fris-Co is known as a Dutch exporter focused completely on the Italian market, and consists of wholesaler’s markets, supermarkets and cutting plants. But now the company is heading in a new direction, and launches Fris-Co Import BV. This weekend, the kickoff was at Bella Vita, the fair for Italian food, in the Amsterdam-RAI.
“We are researching interest for the Italian fresh produce packet in the Netherlands. That interest is definitely present at this fair. It is a broad food fair, with lots of olive oil, sausages and pizzas, and we are one of the few fresh produce exhibitors, but we have had plenty of interest so far. We are glad to showcase the wide Italian assortment to, for example, catering service wholesalers,” says Sandra Bogaard.
“Now that we are carrying out incoming Dutch transport with Sous Fresh, an import branch was the next logical step. We have over twenty years of experience on the Italian market, and therefore know how to find our producers. We can offer our customers an increasingly broad assortment, from Italian citrus to aubergines, tomatoes, artichokes, types of lettuce, radichhio and castelfranco,” Bogaard concludes.
