25 November:

Business Event ‘Sustainable Food Peru-NL’

After last year’s success, Peru’s Trade Commission, in cooperation with the CBI (the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries), organises the Business Event ‘Sustainable Food Peru-NL’ in the Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport on 25 November. During this day, Business Matchmaking Sessions will occur between Dutch and Peruvian companies from the following sectors:
  • Natural and functional ingredients from Peru, such as quinoa, kiwicha, amaranth, mesquite, maca, sacha inchi oil, yacon, coffee, cocoa and açai;
  • Fruit ingredients such as fruit purée / fruit pieces: apple, sweet potato, strawberry, mango, pear, and dried fruit such as physalis, mango, lucuma and pineapple;
  • Peppers from the Andes, oregano, bell pepper, natural colouring such as achiote/annato, turmeric, olives, red corn syrup and yacon syrup.
Before the start of the Business Sessions, a seminar with the theme ‘Sustainability in the field of Natural Ingredients and Super foods’ will take place. The seminar is opened by Franc van den Berg, from Ernst & Young. This will be followed by an inspiring panel debate led by Meine van der Graaf from MVO Nederland, and a workshop ‘How to build a story on nutritional and health effects of ancient/new food products’ by Wageningen University & Research, led by Ria Hulsman.

After the discussion and reflection, it will be time to enjoy a tasty Peruvian buffet, after which the Business Sessions can really start. For entrepreneurs, the day is closed by a Pisco get-together, during which there is plenty of opportunity to network with professionals from the business world and from the government, but also from the social sector.

There is no participation fee, but registration is required. Register for the business sessions of the seminar with an e-mail to
