"We are approaching the peak of Mexican growing season"

He continues: “Our retail partners have challenged us to improve our value added offerings. So as a result we are developing new and exciting packs. For example our hot pepper line of bagged jalapeno, poblano, anaheim, serrano and habanero, have begun to grow in interest. Other items include grape tomatoes, color bells, zucchini, yellow squash, sweet mini-peppers, round and roma tomatoes, both conventional and organic.”
According to Tony, the summer regions begin to wind down this month and transition will soon be upon us as we approach Thanksgiving. Along with that comes the peak of the Mexican growing season. GR's volumes will increase now and then be doubled, as the US local domestic growing regions disappear until next summer.
“Our tomato program will reach 3.5 to 4 million packages from January through May. Mexican vegetables, including cucumbers, eggplant, bell peppers, zucchini, yellow and grey squash will double as well. Our exports into the United States will triple over that same time period”, concludes Tony.
