On November 5, a project funded by the Shandong Hengxin Group for the industrialised cultivation of edible fungi was signed near Zoucheng city in Jining. Afterwards, the ceremony of laying the first foundations was performed. It is reported that the total investments for the project amount to 700 million RMB. A modernised, smart mushroom greenhouse will be constructed, covering a surface of 200,000 square meters. The estimated production volume will be 180 tons on a daily basis, including 120 tons of Enoki Mushroom, 30 tons of White Beech Mushroom and 30 tons of Brown Beech Mushroom. The start of production is planned for the first half of 2018.
