Wilko van der Zwaard, WilkoFruit:

“High brix levels in first Moroccan clementines”

The first Moroccan clementines arrived at WilkoFruit yesterday. “We are satisfied with the first containers that have just been unloaded. The brix levels are between 12.6 and 13.1. We are very confident of a beautiful Moroccan season,” says Wilko van der Zwaard.

“In general, sizes are slightly smaller than in previous years, but last week’s rain could still result in slightly larger sizes. The rain was just what we needed, because it had barely rained up till then in Morocco,” Van der Zwaard continues.

“We are starting with the Sofia-Sud brand, and in two weeks we will also have the clementines available in Gaudias. We offer the citrus in pitufo (1.8 and 2.3 kilograms), wooden packaging (10 kilograms), and cardboard packaging (10/12/15 kilograms). In addition, retail packaging in sizes including 750 grammes, 1 kilogram and 1,500 grammes, are also a possibility.”
