Yuncheng apples exported to over 40 countries and regions

Yuncheng apples exported to Peru

Recently, the first batch of 20.58 tons of Yuncheng apples from Shanxi province was exported to Peru. This was the first time that Chinese apples had entered Peru since the signature of the Protocol on the Inspection and Quarantine Requirements for Chinese Apples' Export to Peru. This established the presence of Yuncheng apples in South America, although thay had previously been successfully exported to the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, Russia, and more than 40 other countries around the world.

Shanxi has 16, national level, agriculture product quality & safety demonstration areas, including 4 for Yuncheng fruit (apples, nectarines and pears). These are in accordance with international standards on orchard and packaging standardized management, to ensure the exported fruit quality and safety. So far Yuncheng has planted over 146,000 Ha of apples, with an annual output of 4 billion kilos.

Peru is located in the southern hemisphere, whose climate and seasons are complementary to China's, therefore the agricultural trade opportunities are huge.

On August 2016, at the invitation of the State Bureau of Quality Inspection & Quarantine, a Counselor from the Peruvian Embassy in China, and its commerce representatives, came to Yuncheng to inspect orchards and packaging factories. After the visit, they gave a high recognition to Yuncheng fruits' pest control and quality managment system. So, after several rounds of negotiations between relevant Yuncheng and Peruvian enterprises, the first batch of Yuncheng apples was finally exported to Peru.
