One plant bears 8 kinds of tomatoes

In the past few days, the Xu Chang Morning Post's hotline QQ group's readers have passionately discussed how the so-called "Tomato King", Xie Dezhou, managed to breed so many new and odd varieties, and how he let a single tomato plant bear 8 kinds of tomatoes, all different in taste. Xie Dezhou is known to all as the "Tomato King". Although his tomato garden only covered approximately 0.35 hectares, he managed to cultivate over 500 tomato plants. The tomato plant that has borne eight different kinds of tomatoes is unlike the other plants: its branches are thick and solid and the leaves on every branch are different.

If its branches and leaves are different, then its fruits are even more unique. The 8 kinds of tomatoes each have a different colour. The bigger tomatoes can reach the size of a bowling ball, and the smaller ones have the size of normal tomatoes. Their colours range from a fiery red to light green, and their forms vary from flat shapes to round or even square. The tomatoes are obviously not of the same kind.

"This tomato plant carries eight different varieties. Its growing position is also favorable, which makes the tomatoes taste better than regular tomatoes," explains Xie Dezhou.
