The Produce Mom has hired the brand’s first Facebook fan to serve as Director of Content and Communications.
Kristin Ahaus was The Produce Mom’s very first Facebook fan, a consumer follower of the brand's Facebook page since its 2012 inception. Today Ahaus is the first director-level hire for the brand, and the first employee of The Produce Mom since the brand was purchased by Lori Taylor in August 2015.
Ahaus has a background in sports and health care marketing, including a director-level position with Team Indiana Volleyball Club. Ahaus’ responsibilities at The Produce Mom will include partner communications, public relations, content strategies, grant writing, and social media management.
Lori Taylor and Kristin Ahaus represent The Produce Mom® at a Kroger Marketplace Grand Opening in late August, 2016.
“The Produce Mom is a brand that immediately connected with me. As a young mom trying to make wise food choices for my family, I have enjoyed following along to learn more about the foods from the produce department,” explains Ahaus. “I know I’m a Produce Mom, and as a social media follower since day one, I’ve witnessed the progression of this brand. I’m honored to be part of what The Produce Mom does next!”
“It’s a proud moment. After thirteen months of business ownership I’m still in business, and I’ve hired someone. The Produce Mom's consumer influence was built primarily with Facebook. It's fitting that our first hire is also our first fan," states Lori Taylor. "I cannot wait to introduce Kristin to the industry I love at Fresh Summit."
Ahaus and Taylor will attend the Produce Marketing Association's Fresh Summit in Orlando. Please contact [email protected] to set up appointments with The Produce Mom team at Fresh Summit.
