In addition, there is a photo in the brochure owned by the Summerfruit company and originally published on "Fresh Fruit Portal" on 25th November 2015 as part of the "Truly yellow kiwifruit variety planted in Chile" article.
The clearly photoshopped picture has been used as an image for the "Soreli" variety but actually refers to the AC 1536 variety. What is more, Dorì kiwis seem to have a different colour but are in fact the same variety!
Last but not least, the characteristics described are not the real ones and the "sticker" on the fruit is not the original used by Dorì Europe.
An official warning has been issued against the nursery garden for the use of the brochure and any other material making reference to the AC 1536 variety.
In addition, the consortium reserved the right to take further action for any damage deriving from unauthorised information.
We would like to stress that the only nursery garden authorised for the production of AC 1536 plants is Dal Pane Vivai and that all the rights granted to the Universities of Bologna and Udine are carried out by Summerfruit.
In addition to Summerfruit, the following are also part of Dorì Europe - Kiwi Uno Spa, Granfrutta Zani, F.lli Clementi and Summerkiwi France, as founding partners, and Frutta C2, D e D Frutta, Kiwiny, and Zeoli Frutta, as members.
All interested operators are invited to see and appreciate the real fruit at Macfrut 2016 in Rimini (14-16 September) at the Consorzio Dorì Europe stand in Hall D5 - Stand 113.
As the fruit is about to be harvested, the first Dorì International Day will take place on 21st September. To attend, please contact simona@dorieurope.eu or +39 329 4335604 by 17th September.
