Apples from Ji county to be exported to Peru

On August 16th, Mr. Jaime Casafrance, the Minister-Counselor from the Embassy of Peru in Beijing, and Mr. Santiago Xiu, the representative of the Peru Chamber of Commerce, visited Ji county for their apple export. They first visited the Apple Plantation Demonstration Garden located in Dongcheng town, then to Aokun Agriculture & Technology Co. Ltd to view its apple cold storage technology. After the visit they were very much impressed by the quality and taste of these apples.

The high altitude and temperature variation of Ji county provide the best environment for its apple growth. Their apples are high in sugar content, can store for a long period and have a longer shelf life. So far they have obtained the product origin geographical certificate (GAP certificate) and certified Chinese Apple Export Quality & Safety Demonstration Zone etc. All these qualities make the Peru group more confident in the quality of apples. Therefore, it is expected that apples from Ji county can be exported to Peru and then further on into the South American market.
