A Spanish company will export fruit juices and vegetables to China

Zumosol is getting ready to sell its Veggies, vegetable juices and vegetables that the company launched earlier this year, in the international markets. With this product, the company began a second life after Toksöz, a Turkish company, bought the juicer from the Calidad Pascual group in 2013.

Juan Martinez, CEO of Zumosol, said that this product, which was launched in January, has been a success for the company based in the province of Cordoba. According to the CEO, the company has managed to increase its market share of the chilled juices segment by 5.5% in recent months and now has 15% of said market share.

Now the company is getting ready to sell this new product in the international markets. According to Martinez, these types of products that are aimed at a public that is interested in eating healthy is very successful, especially in the US west coast. US Thus, the company is getting ready to export its juices to the United States.

In addition, the company is studying its launch in China, where the population, especially the city dwellers, are interested in consuming Western products. Italy and Turkey could also be interesting destinations for these juices. Martinez stated that they had already tested the Veggies outside of Spain.

He said the logistics to ship this product abroad were somewhat more complex because of the product's characteristics, but that exporting it was still feasible. He also said that, since it was a premium product, customers were willing to pay more for the product's transportation costs.

Parallel to its expansion abroad, Martinez said the company's goal was to consolidate the supply of Veggies in Spain and lead this segment, which is just getting started and that they hope will continue to grow in the coming years.

We created this product after a year of preparation by chef Rodrigo de la Calle, said Martinez. The manager said this was the first time in Spain that a brand made a serious bet on this type of range.
