Kloosterboer has largest European cold store

The International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) has drawn up a list of the 25 largest cold stores in the world. That survey shows that AGRO Merchants Group is the fifth largest in the world, measured for capacity. Kloosterboer occupies the seventh place on this list.

The American AGRO Merchants Group recently made several major acquisitions, and it now houses a capacity of over 6.2 million m². The Dutch Kloosterboer has a capacity of over 4.2 million m².

Kloosterboer is by far the largest provider, when looking at Europe specifically, with a capacity of 4.2 million m². That number is identical to the global list, but can be explained by the fact that Kloosterboer focuses solely on the European market. The AGRO Merchants Group adorns third place, with a capacity of over 1.8 million m².
