The director of ProChile, Roberto Paiva, met with the new president of Fedefruta, Ramon Achurra, after the latter made a protocol visit to the offices of the Agency for Export Promotion. Juan Carlos SepĂșlveda, the general manager of the guild, and Andres Diaz, head of the Department of Agricultural foods at ProChile, also participated in the activity.
According to representatives of the National Federation of Fruit Producers of Chile, the goal of the visit was to further strengthen the relationship between both entities, and to continue supporting ProChile in relevant activities, such as the PMA Fruit Trade that will be held on November 9 and 10 in Espacio Riesco.
"The producers and fruit exports of the country are the foundation of our food exports. However, we also provide other services associated with this industry, such as logistics and packaging, among others, that also have great development and we want them to be a part of Chile's offer abroad. To do that, we must work together," said Roberto Paiva.
The union of fruit growers also told the director of ProChile about their interest to strengthen promotion and export activities to the markets in the Middle East and Asia. ProChile stated they would evaluate the possibility of incorporating activities in these markets. "It is very important that the industry lets us know its interests and what they plan to achieve, that way we can work together and get better results for our country," he added.
