Over 9,000 visitors at Empack

Empack took place in Utrecht From 12 until 14 April 2016. The fair was visited by 9,200 people who wanted to see, meet and experience the future of packaging. With 400 exhibitors, there were 20 per cent more participating companies than at the previous edition in Den Bosch. Of the participants, about 80 companies had something to do with fresh produce somehow. Primeur handed out 1,000 samples of its packaging special, which had been introduced a week prior to the fair.

There was a well-filled programme with the latest developments, inspiration and fun for packaging professionals. Visitors could visit more than 55 seminars, which mostly focused on the main themes, packaging for e-commerce and bio-based packaging.

The fair is, besides a complete supply of exhibitors, also the place to network and to gain knowledge. The programme for this was the result of an extensive cooperation between prominent research partners and trade unions from the packaging sector in order to share current and important insights. At the Kennisplein (knowledge square), university and college courses in packaging could be found with the VNV and KIDV to present the surplus value of business. At the Biobased Village and the Webpackaging Show Wall the latest innovations were shown neatly arranged within the main themes of this edition.

In 2017 Empack will take place again in the Brabanthallen in ’s Hertogensbosch.
