Produce Mom & NatureFresh team up for students

The Produce Mom and NatureFresh Farms will bring the Greenhouse Education Center to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) on May 25, 2016 for the second annual Indianapolis Public Schools’ Mega Field Day event. The event will take place on the IMS track, the Wednesday preceding the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500.

Over 20,000 Indianapolis Public Schools students will be in attendance. Additionally, the entire qualifying field of Indy 500 Drivers will be in attendance and expected to tour students through the NatureFresh Farms mobile greenhouse.

“NatureFresh Farms invested in the Greenhouse Education Center and continues partnership with The Produce Mom for opportunities like this,” explains Chris Veillon, Director of Marketing NatureFresh Farms. “To reach over 20,000 children, educators and professional athletes at an internationally-acclaimed venue is a very exciting opportunity. We will have NatureFresh tomato samples for every attendee.”

The Produce Mom has been an active partner of Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) since 2011 & launched fresh produce educational program, Find Your Favorite® with the district. Lori Taylor of The Produce Mom currently serves on the Indianapolis Public Schools Wellness Committee.

“NatureFresh Farms’ Greenhouse Education Center is a world-class agriculture attraction, one of the best grassroots marketing efforts in the industry,” explains Taylor. “Mega Field Day in Indianapolis is a special collaboration opportunity, bringing together the Department of Education and produce industry partners of The Produce Mom Family.”
