As the main contractor of the automation project Schouw has closely collaborated with its technology partners to introduce ERP additional applications to Capespan. For RF barcode scanning within logistics there was collaboration with SDT, for Business Intelligence with Hillstar and for output management with Quadira.
Optimisation of processes and procedures
Using the best practices from the fruit and vegetable branch the processes and procedures of Capespan were optimised during the implementation course. Capespan is also reaching a higher degree of automation with its logistic service suppliers with this project. Tom Quets: "We are looking back at a complex, but especially successful course in where hard work was done and much was achieved." Capespan is now looking forward with Schouw at a possible role out on a larger scale within the group.
