New weekly container shipment from Vlissingen, Netherlands to Ecuador

Shipping company Star Reefers will start with a new weekly service shipping containers from Vlissingen, Netherlands to Ecuador. The existing service that runs from Saint Petersburg to Ecuador will make a stop in Vlissingen to take cargo to Ecuador.

Star Reefers has had a successful shipping service from Ecuador to Saint Petersburg for years now, and they were looking for additional cargo to take to Ecuador. Because companies in Zealand Seaports have a lot of return cargo going in the direction of South America, a stop in Vlissingen was created, which will come into effect in February. They will sail directly from Vlissingen to Ecuador, which means a shorter travel time compared to the existing container services.

In addition to the fact that there is plenty of return cargo to take back to South America, the convenient proximity of the North Sea and the fast connections to and from the hinterland make this a prime location for Star Reefers.

Star Reefers will be putting eight ships on this route. The first, the 'Andalucia Star', will leave on February 3rd. The loading of the ships will take place at stevedore Supermaritime. Supermaritime represents the shipping company as port agents for the containers and break-bulk Central Shipping Holland, and for the Ro-Ro segment and project cargo III Kings.
