UK fresh produce packer doubles capacity

Elision UK – a specialist contract packer of fresh produce – has more than doubled its site capacity by expanding to a second site in Honeybourne, five miles east of its original base in Evesham, Worcestershire.

The move comes as part of a planned expansion for Elision, which packs berries, grapes and exotic fruits, vegetables and salads and employs 40 full time staff. This second site increases Elision’s floor space by nearly 120%, supporting a forecast of a near 70% increase in packing volumes.

Lauren Hakes, Business Director at Elision UK, said: “The Honeybourne site will give us the capacity to grow while we continue to develop Elision’s services.”

Elision’s original site on the Vale Business Park in Evesham will now be dedicated to salads, enabling the development of partner company Wellpak’s new salads division.

Elision works in partnership with Wellpak (a leading supplier of fresh produce from around the world) and Ackio (a specialist, highly automated fruit packer) and is supported by the management services of The Alomora Group. Together they form an established ecosystem – a group of independent but inter-related companies that can be combined and configured to provide a unified service for growers and retailers.
