Distribution company introduces Rockit at Anuga 2015

"Convenience grows ever more important, also to us," Frank Döscher, CEO of the Elbe-Obst distribution company, explains. "Therefore we are glad to use this opportunity to present ourselves at the Anuga again this year." The distribution company from the Alte Land has been a regular component of the international leading fair in Cologne. "The added value offered to us by the Anuga lies in the fact that we can present ourselves to a different audience than one would perhaps encounter at other fairs."

The product that Frank Döscher presents on the Anuga 2015 is called Rockit. "Rockit is our latest product", says the businessman. "It is aimed at the rushed consumer and the field of convenience. It lends itself very well to being sold in the so-called "To-Go" stores of various supermarket chains, and also at gas stations. "

The mini apples in the plastic tube taste juicy and sweet. "We are not bound seasonally with the product," Doscher describes. Elbe-Obst has planted 50,000 trees for the new product. The first yields are expected in the season 2015/2016, says the CEO.

Apple-chips
The crispy, crunchy and healthy apple chips are also presented by Elbe-Obst at Anuga. "Surveys among consumers have shown that they prefer to eat these with the skin on. We therefore switched to processing the apples directly in their skin," the expert reports. "Many vitamins are right under the skin".

Apple purée
Another product by Elbe-Obst is the finely strained apple purée. Made durable by pasteurization, Elbe-Obst sells this product in 250- or 1,000 litre-bag-in-box containers.
