Ecuador will resume trade talks with Turkey

Ecuador will resume talks with Turkey during the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Trade, Diego Aulestia, to this country between October 12 and 14, with the aim of reaching a trade agreement and promoting investment opportunities in the country

The Ecuadorian delegation will conduct an intensive agenda in Istanbul, Ankara and Mersin Port that includes trade issues, investment in various fields, and academic exchanges.

An important point will be the meeting being held with senior members of the KOC Holding, Turkey's largest conglomerate with interests in banking, commerce, electricity, automobiles and research. Another highlight will be the meeting with the heads of Yildirim Holding, Yuksel Yildirim, president, and Ozer Oz, vice-president, to follow up on the investment proposal this group did last year in the South Naval Shipyard in Puerto Bolivar.

In Ankara, the delegation will meet with the ministers of Economy and Agriculture of Turkey to discuss the negotiations of a trade agreement.

This official visit to Turkey will conclude with a trip to the free zone of the Port of Mersin, where the Ecuadorian export products such as bananas arrive; and a dialogue with the Chamber of Commerce about the exchange opportunities with Ecuador.
