Cold weather causing problems for Argentinian blueberries

The cold spring does not allows for the fruit’s optimal ripening. This is why during week 40, shipment expectations were not met.

A total of 570 tons of Argentine blueberries were received by the different markets, versus the 733 tons estimated by the ABC. The first deliveries were recorded from airport Benjamín Matienzo in Tucumán, amounting to 130 tons, thus starting their activity. The cold weather continues and a volume of between 900 and 1,000 tons is estimated for week 41, 1,600 for week 42 and around 1,900 tons for week 43.
