VOG displays wide range of apples at Asia Fruit Logistica

South-East Asia is a rapidly expanding market of extreme interest to apple exporters. With this in mind, this year VOG will once again be participating at Asia Fruit Logistica. Over the 3-day event, the Consortium will be displaying its wide array of apples at the EOS stand in pavilion 3 (stand W-23).

South-East Asia is an area enjoying significant growth and is open to new products and new food experiences and flavours. Today, the Royal Gala, Granny Smith, Fuji and Red Delicious varieties are particularly in demand. However, interest is also growing in innovative apples, sweet or balanced in flavour, but nonetheless always juicy and crunchy. Examples include the innovative "Club” apples, of which the Pink Lady® is the best known variety, and of which VOG is one of the biggest producers and exporters in Europe.

“South-East Asia is an area of vast potential”, commented Gerhard Dichgans, Director of the VOG Consortium. “Until now our presence on these markets has been limited, but our goal is to grow gradually, focusing on one hand on well-known and popular varieties such as Royal Gala and Granny Smith, and on the other on Club varieties such as Pink Lady® and Modì®, two crunchy and juicy apples that we are convinced will prove very popular with operators and consumers”, commented Dichgans.

“Through our participation at Asia Fruit Logistica, we hope to cement our relations with our clients and to forge contacts with potential new commercial partners in the area”, concluded the Director.
