Coop eG calls lettuce product back

Salmonellae in 200-gram Romana mix

Producer coop eG is recalling a lettuce product because of salmonellae. Of those the 200-gram package “coop Feine Lebensmittel” Romana mix with a best-before date of August 11, 2015 is afflicted. Salmonellae have been found in there in a self-inspection of the producer, as stated in an announcement by the company.




“It is in accordance with the company policy of coop to only market food products, that are produced from the best raw materials and in the most thorough production processes. That is why we have decided to take back the batch of products mentioned above, for reasons of utmost caution”, coop eG explained in a statement. All affected consumers can return the products to any sky-supermarket, sky-xxl, sky-center and TopKaufMarkt (also without a receipt) and get the full price reimbursed.

Furthermore, the company pointed out that only the batch of 200-gram packages of “coop Feine Lebensmittel” Romana mix with best-before-date August 11, 2015 can be affected by this deviation.
