US: New bagger ensures correct portions
The latest bagger from Ag-Pak is equipped with a feature that weighs bags of produce immediately after they've been filled in order to ensure each bag contains the correct portions. The company will feature the new AP7000 at the upcoming United Fresh convention in Chicago.
“We're releasing a new wicketed bagger that's fast, reliable and easy to operate and maintain,” said Andy Currie of Ag-Pak. “It has the option to integrate a check weigher so immediately after it's filled it's weight is checked. That feature requires no additional floor space.” In addition to the new AP7000 bagger, Ag-Pak has continued to adapt to the changing needs of the produce industry throughout its 50 years of doing business.
“People are now more concerned with traceability and being able to print on bags and tags, so we have solutions for any bag to be able to print on them in a convenient way,” said Currie. “Our focus is on always giving customers the most efficient system to be able to run bags they want to run, so we focus on supply equipment that is cost-effective, reliable and has the flexibility to do all the bag styles they want.”
