"The new direct flight between Amsterdam and Verona is an excellent opportunity for our territory, as our companies will be closer to the Dutch market," commented Paolo Arena, member of the Chamber of Commerce board and president of the Valerio Catullo airport.
Such a connection is important for tourism as well as for the other economic sectors, as Verona is the city with the second largest number of multinationals after Milan and has a large number of companies with a turnover of over €100 million.
The Netherlands represent one of the main countries from which Verona imports food and agricultural products (€395 million in 2014) and also one of the main destinations for exports (€232 million in 2014).
