Pinnacle Seed Expands its Research and Development
Pinnacle Seed announced Mike Koda has joined their team as Manager of Research and Development. In this role, he will be responsible for the development of new high yielding lettuce varieties.
Prior to joining Pinnacle Seed, Koda was Seed Production Manager at Progeny Advanced Genetics and Research Associate at Plant Sciences, Inc.
”Mike is a tremendous asset to the continued long-term growth of Pinnacle Seed,” said Pinnacle President Mike Vanoli, who launched the locally owned produce genetics company in 2014. “His profound knowledge of seed production, product development and modern breeding techniques make him an integral part of Pinnacle Seed’s long-term goals for continued growth.”
Koda obtained his Bachelor of Science in Crop Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2002 before completing a Master’s level certificate program from the Plant Breeding Academy at UC Davis.
“I’m excited to bring my industry knowledge and experience to the Pinnacle Seed team,” Koda said. “I look forward to contributing to a locally owned and operated company where our development and customer service happens directly in the field.”
