Almond Ace named one of top 2 ‘Quality Leaders’ in Europe

Almond Ace Packing Inc., a grower-owned almond processing and export company, was named one of the top two ‘Quality Leaders’ among almond suppliers exporting into Europe by one of the largest European almond import companies, Calconut S.L.

Hector Fontal, the general manager of Calconut S.L., published a release in regard to Calconut’s 2014/2015 almond crop season, announcing that its “clients have thanked them for the quality received from two packers: Almond Ace and Hilltop Ranch.” According to Calconut’s release, such comments reflecting the unmatched quality of their almonds helped Almond Ace Packing and Hilltop Ranch earn the premier designation of ‘Quality Leaders’ for the 2014/2015 almond crop season.

Almond Ace Packing Inc. was founded in 2010 in Ripon, California, by the Tilbury family, where the company now manufactures and globally exports more than 15 million pounds of almonds annually.

“We’re doing our best to exceed our customers’ expectations,” said Anthony Mello, CEO of Almond Ace Packing Inc. “We’re pleased to have access to naturally beautiful, light product from the prime growing region in and around the San Joaquin Valley, and we work with some of the best almond growers in the entire industry,” Mello added. “Quality and customer service are our foremost concerns.”

Mello also cited the excellent job its almond huller-sheller, Paddack Hulling & Shelling, does to deliver exceptionally clean, shelled, and pristine non-chipped and scratched almonds as an important factor in its ‘Quality Leaders’ designation.

The European almond market consists of more than half a billion pounds of California almonds, while 83% of the world’s almond supply comes from California’s Central Valley. Almond Ace Packing Inc. currently processes and exports almonds in bulk, shelled and unshelled, to more than 30 countries worldwide. It is also adding other manufactured nut products to its product line in the near future.
