UK: Chilean early white nectarines available
"There are many early varieties of white nectarines but currently we have some fantastic Arctic Whites in from Chile," explains Riccardo Ventola from the company.
White nectarines in comparison to yellow flesh ones differ due to the balance of sugar and acid. White Nectarines do not contain the acidity that the yellow fleshed varieties have so can be referred to as sub-acid.
The fruits themselves are rounded and slightly heart-shaped. Their skin is paper thin, smooth and with hints of ruby, pink and ivory. When ripe their flesh is creamy in colour.
