LBP Rotterdam BV is one of the lucky 10 companies. On Friday afternoon, Anton Filippo received the award from Minister Ploumen, a € 10,000 cheque, in support of taking further steps toward their goal. "That goal is to further penetrate the market in Colombia," says Anton Filippo, who was present in a Schiphol hangar decked out as a party hall on Friday, together with Hans Janssen. "Colombia is South America' fastest growing economy, growing immensely when it comes to fruit cultivation. We can help and support those exporters in Colombia with their European trade."
He emphasizes that fruit sales have to be handled by the Colombians themselves, but logistics, quality control, cooling, (re)packaging, distribution and stock control, etcetera, can be taken care of by LBP. "Late November, LBP will take part in a trade mission to Colombia, together with Minister Ploumen and 35 other companies, and we'll see if the minister's presence can open some doors that are hard to unlock for us," says Anton Filippo.
Tramper Technology
Tramper Technology from Goes also won an 'Orange Trade Mission package'. The company from Goes is looking for reliable partners in the US, to conquer the market with their packing machines and complete packaging lines.
