"It is important that organic fruit and vegetables are affordable for everyone"

Aldi UK starts organic supply for middle class

Aldi has started offering organic fruit and vegetables in the UK to attract more consumers from the middle classes. The supply at the moment consists of carrots, cauliflower, broccoli and onions, which costs slightly less than a quarter of organic vegetables elsewhere, reports the website money.aol.co.uk.

More fresh organic fruit and vegetable varieties will follow over the next few months and the supply will be further completed up until January 2015. Tony Baines, managing director of sales at Aldi Uk, said in a declaration that this is the result of customer research which showed that customers are interested in organic foods but find them too expensive. He commented: "At Aldi we believe it is important that organic fruit and vegetables are affordable for everyone." He added that customers can now, more than ever, get all their weekly shopping from Aldi.
