Carrot forum held for the sixth time in January 2015

On January 12 and 13, 2015, Germany will host the carrot forum for the sixth time now, German website Fruchthandel.de reports. This industry forum around the carrot is organized by the German Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI) and the 'Rheinischer Landwirtschafts-Verlag GmbH'.

Themes surrounding cultivation and sales of carrots are on the agenda here. Carrots are still the most important crop within German open field cultivation. No other vegetables are harvested in such large quantities in Germany. Carrots are produced in all states, on a total acreage equivalent in size to 14,000 football pitches. So there's a lot of interest in the meeting every year. Maintaining quality through foliar fertilization, climate change and internet sales are just a few of the themes that will be discussed during these two days. The detailed programme and registration form can be found at: http://www.ami-informiert.de/fileadmin/redaktion/foren/gartenbau/moehrenforum/Moehrenforum_2015.pdf.
