WP Rawl partners with Monique Coleman to promote Nature’s Greens

This fall, WP Rawl will partner with actress, youth advocate and greens lover Monique Coleman to represent the Nature’s Greens line of processed leafy greens. The partnership will run until October 2015.

The program signals yet one more way for category leader WP Rawl to expose more consumers to leafy greens and inspire more consumption. The partnership with Monique will encourage consumers (greens lovers, African Americans/traditional Southern greens consumers, fans and millennials) to eat greens in healthy ways.

Plans for the partnership include creating excitement and interest in the greens category through videos, healthy eating tips and recipe content along with an increased social media presence with contests and Twitter parties. Monique will also be featured on specially-marked Nature’s Greens Collard Green bags along with recipes she created.

Monique Coleman, who is an African-American actress best known for her roles in the High School Musical movies, grew up near the WP Rawl headquarters. She is an avid cook and advocate for healthy eating. Coleman was introduced to the Rawl family through her position as a board member for Katie’s Krops when she attended the first-ever Katie’s Krops Camp for youth gardeners, which Rawl sponsors.

“When we made the connection with Monique and discovered her passion for eating greens in a healthy way, and then learned that she had grown up nearby and still has family ties in the area, we knew we had to find a way to partner with her,” said Ashley Rawl, vice president of marketing, sales and product development at WP Rawl. “We believe that our goals are perfectly aligned and can’t wait to spread this excitement to our customers.”

Consumers can follow WP Rawl’s journey with Monique Coleman at www.rawl.net/eatmogreens, and on social media through the hashtag #eatmogreens
