AgroFresh, a fully owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company and a global business unit of Dow AgroSciences LLC is pleased to announce the launch of its new and improved website ( www.agrofresh.com ) that incorporates new information on AgroFresh’s technology portfolio and the historic development of its renowned 1-MCP formulations for the post-harvest industry and, more recently, for the pre-harvest sector.
AgroFresh, a pioneer in the development of 1-MCP for the quality and freshness maintenance of fruits during storage and transport, has added to its renowned SmartFreshSM Quality System a number of products that are adapted to specific crops, fruit quantities and regionally diverse regionally different customer needs. Harvista, introduced 3 years ago in the U.S. as a harvest management tool that reduces fruit drop and allows for delays in the picking time, has a firm place on the site as this unprecedented technology is now developed for other regions worldwide.
“Our long experience in quality and ethylene management has allowed us to expand our product offering and the advice and knowledge we can bring to our customers’ business, explained Stan Howell, Global General Manager. “ This website will not only illustrate our innovative tracks, but become also the platform for the AgroFresh Information Center (AFIC) which will provide customized technical, commercial and market information. The AFIC is a regionally tailored e-fruit quality and market management tool that combines AgroFresh’s fifteen years of technical expertise with regularly updated external market information on production, consumption and price.”
