On the Potato Demo Day in Westmaas, Spiessens showed something new: A drum to wash potatoes without using water. The product only comes into contact with soft rubber, so damage is prevented. Depending on the load and the rotation speed, washing can take place very thoroughly. With the slogan "don't transport earth," Spiessens strikes a chord with suppliers and processors of potatoes.
