The Healthy Treat Box has been in all Lidl shops since the 11th of August. The box was created in collaboration with the Voedingscentrum and shows that healthy treats are fun, tasty and easy. This initiative connects to the idea that Lidl wants to add to a healthy lifestyle.
Healthy food and moving
The topic of healthy treats has been high on Lidl's agenda for a number of years. For instance, also in collaboration with the Voedingcentrum, the FitFoodFun-Factor bus was created, in which the themes of healthy food and enough exercise are brought to the attention at primary schools in the Netherlands. Braun: "In a school bus converted to a cooking studio, over 30 thousand kids from around 300 primary schools have already been part of a 'healthy treat' workshop in the Netherlands. Children learn in a fun way that vegetable chips are tasty too."

"Lidl like to contribute to the health of children and the treat box is a good example of this. It would be great if healthy treats become normal for the coming school year," says Patricia Schutte of the Voedingcentrum in a response to this introduction.Princes and princesses
The box contains sticks and stickers with which the consumer can turn fruit and vegetables into 25 healthy treats in no time at all. The box is available in two versions; the princes and princesses theme and an animal party.
