Potato recycling plant is to open in Tyumen, Russia

It has been planned to build a potato recycling plant in Tyumen region, - reports Yugra TV.

Vladimir Moor, an agronomist from Tyumen, is a driving force behind this project. Vladimir has been growing potatoes in his agricultural company Agro Ovoschh for 10 years.

In comparison to the results achieved in 2013, his company has successfully managed to increase the potato yields by half – up to 20 tonnes per hectare.
Potato is one of the most cost-efficient crops. For instance, 1 hectare yields 20 tonnes of potatoes, but only 2 tonnes of grain crops, - explains V. Moor.
At agricultural meeting, the interim Governor of Tyumen – Vladimir Yakushev – confirmed the necessity of a potato recycling plant in the region, and emphasized that the plant would noticeably contribute to progressive production cost-efficiency.
