German cherry price slightly up again
Good prices and quality
The quality of the domestic cherries was good. But the quality of some of the cherries from other places was less, for example the Turkish Napoleon. The prices for the larger sizes were on average slightly higher than the previous week, so a small increase can be seen here. For the German cherries the price was 3.84 per kilo. The Turkish cherries were at 2.98/kilo and the Spanish cherries cost 2.38. The smaller cherries go for less; on average 2.33/kilo for the German cherries and 2.14/kilo for the Turkish.
In 2013 people paid more for German cherries, at the time the average price for the large cherries in week 29 was 50 cents higher than this year in the same week.
