California Giant Berry Farms’ launched 'Skinny Summer' promotion

California Giant Berry Farms is pleased to announce their latest consumer co-promotion, the Skinny Summertime Sweepstakes, with fellow fresh brand SUNSET® Produce. By capitalizing on the word “skinny”, a nutrition buzzword that is growing in popularity amongst consumers, the strawberry grower hopes to reach a large group of consumers seeking to be inspired by fresh fruit and vegetables this summer season.

The sweepstakes is designed to not only provide entrants with multiple opportunities to win great prizes, but also to deliver exclusive recipes to all hungry consumers who enter. Working with three prominent food bloggers, Sam Henderson of Today’s Nest, Dani Meyer of The Adventure Bite, and Adriana Martin of Adriana’s Best Recipes, California Giant has emailed weekly recipes created by the bloggers to entrants since Memorial Day and will continue through the July 4th weekend. All recipes consist of a “skinny” way to enjoy fresh berries and range from sides and salads to dips and desserts with a focus on summer cooking trends such as no-bake and grilling options.

“We wanted to deliver this fun opportunity and great, summery content to consumers beyond our individual audiences and felt that partnering with a complementary fresh brand and popular bloggers was a great way to take advantage of the summer eating season in a really big way,” said California Giant Berry Farms’ Director of Marketing, Cindy Jewell. “I can’t wait for our customers to realize the many ways that fresh products can be the stars of their dinner tables all summer long.”

The promotion offers a plethora of prizes giving people the chance to win on a weekly basis. Prizes include weekly drawings for $100 Visa gift cards and a grand prize giveaway of a $1,000 airline voucher and $500 gift card from globalhotelcards.com with which to plan the perfect summer getaway.
