Fresh Dynamics is a certified Microsoft partner. Since, Fresh Dynamics started in late 2008 with the introduction of Microsoft Dynamics AX (also known as Axapta). To this standard functionality, Fresh Dynamics has added functionality specific to the industry, including for the fruit and veg sector. The functionality supports all business processes, from grower to retailer. The customers pay a license-based fee per user.
“Microsoft has a standard suite, and looks for partners in every industry to fine-tune the industry-specific part”, Jan van den Adel explains. “For us, that was an ideal combination. With Microsoft, we have a rock solid suite at our disposal, where a lot is invested in developing and optimizing the programme each year. This standard suite is already perfect, and the add-on developed by Fresh Dynamics is fully tailored to the fruit and veg sector. With such existing suites, in my opinion building a suite of your own has been made obsolete.”
Modular
“The suite is very user-friendly. One advantage is that you recognize a lot from existing Windows suites. The suite is constructed modularly. We started with a basic suite, adding other modules step by step. When we started here in Strijen, we started with nothing, so I admire how fast we got it all running. When you prepare well, it’s just a matter of typing it in. We’ve never had problems with inventory control, for instance. An advantage is that the people at Fresh Dynamics are familiar with the industry. They’re just hard workers, who understand that you have to be available for questions outside regular working hours in the fruit and veg sector.”
Jan can therefore recommend the software suite wholeheartedly to colleagues and competitors alike. “The more users, the better you’re able to develop an optimal suite. Because of our decision to focus on grapes, citrus fruits and pineapples as a specialization, we are dealing with a process that’s different than in companies that process bell peppers and dragon fruit. For us, it’s very important to access a lot of information easily. With this suite, you can get information onto your screen on certifications, food safety and traceability in the blink of an eye.”
