Paraguay can now export bananas to Argentine market

Paraguay's Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, in association with the Department of Marketing and the Banana Association of Tembiaporá, strengthen banana exports in the Argentine market.

The banana has had a high acceptance in the Central Market of Buenos Aires because of its good quality and presentation, result of the work done in the MAG's collection centre, where they select the fruits, separate them, wash them, classify them and package them properly according to the international market's requirements and standards.

5,250 boxes of bananas have been shipped so far, which amount to $115,500,000 Guarani for forty partners that belong to the Banana Association of Tembiaporá and that plan to send two weekly shipments of bananas to that market.

This undertaking has been possible thanks to the alliance with the Paraguayan Chamber of Banana and Pineapple (CAPABAP), and with the Department of Marketing and Organization Producers in the area.
