Binchuan pesticide-free garlic harvest sold in Northern China

At the start of April, the Binchuan County of Dali Bai Autonomous Region of the Yunnan province has harvested 40,000 acres of pesticide-free garlic. The harvest will be packed and sold to the northern cities of Beijing, Shandong, Gansu, Shaanxi, Heilongjiang, etc.

Last spring, local agricultural authorities implemented high-yielding cultivation techniques, helping the farmers grow quality garlic. In 2014, the county’s garlic total output is expected to be more than 40 million yuan.
