Peruvian mango exports continue to increase

Although the number of containers with Peruvian mango sent to overseas markets has been falling in recent weeks, the country continues to surpass the record high reached in the 2010/2011 campaign.

According to the Peruvian Association of Mango Producers and Exporters, the country exported 5,800 containers of mango on week 11 this season
(2013/2014 ), and 5,885 containers in week 12.

Currently, Peruvian exports of fresh mango continue to surpass the 2010/2011 campaign record (5,664 containers) by 3.7%.

2013/2014 Campaign 
In detail, the country exported 82 containers on week 12. 80 were destined for Europe, one for Canada and one for other markets. There was no data recorded for the U.S. market.

To date, 3,185 containers have been exported to Europe, 2,190 to the U.S., 274 to Canada, and 236 to other markets.
