EU harvests 4% more apples in 2013

The 28 member states of the EU produced around 10.5 million tonnes of apples in 2013, the German Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI) reports on its website. This is 4% more than in 2012. The countries did not reach a record harvest however, as was feared after the massive harvest drop out in 2012.
