GlobalG.A.P's IFA standard prioritises microbial risk control
GlobalG.A.P. board member Hugh Mowat said: "Food safety has always been a main concern of the GlobalG.A.P. standard, and since their beginnings in 1996 GlobalG.A.P. have, without a doubt, contributed enormously to the welfare of consumers."
Due to growing concerns over food safety from microbial contamination GlobalG.A.P. will now pro-actively expand their existing controls. Any changes will be on a scientific basis, and the producers will ensure reliable guidelines are made available.
