Gherkins for Burger King

The Carl Kühne food company from Hamburg, is Germany's market leader when it comes to gherkins and red cabbage. The company's 2013 revenue is estimated at 320 million Euro, of which 40% is earned abroad, reports the German paper 'De Welt' on their website.

Kühne has 1580 employees throughout 50 countries. The gastronomy system also belongs to its customers: Burger King and Subway receive their gherkins because of Kühne. Directer Stefan Leitz was previously the purchasing manager at Procter & Gamble (Wella, Gillette) and Unilever.
