In the new to be realized Food Centre Westland at ABC Westland Agri & Food in Poeldijk, compact office space is being built, which is also suitable for use as international trade offices. "These kind of companies, which form the link between production, import/export and the retail trade, hotels and restaurants, is a welcome addition to the already existing agri & food related activity" according to a spokesman from the business area.
ABC Westland Agri & Food is in the middle of the production horticulture of vegetables in the Netherlands and close to the ports of Rotterdam. In the grounds more than 85 companies are established, which have a direct or indirect link with the worldwide agri & food sector and the number of companies is still growing. The activities of the existing companies vary, but often complement each other perfectly. There are import and export companies, distributors, packers, specialized storage companies (cold stores), service providers and to horticulture related companies.
