Pomegranates come from the Alicante province and the Murcia region, where 95% of pomegranate cultivation of the EU is located and which produce 40,000 tons per year.
The Granatum Plus range is made up of juices, nectars, syrups and capsules, which are rich in antioxidants like Punicalagin and Omega 5 fatty acids.
Granatum Plus, Certified Quality
The Spanish and European companies part of the Granatum Plus project have been the pioneers of the development of pomegranate-based products since 1998. The project, the only in Europe combining R&D for this species, sees laboratories and commercial farms from all over Spain collaborate for the production of European pomegranate juice, concentrate and extract.
Processed products are developed according to the research carried out by the Department for Agrifood Technology - Food Quality and Health Group of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) and other Spanish and European universities.

Research carried out by the UMH established that 70% of the antioxidants in pomegranates are located in the peel, which has an antioxidant capacity 10 times that of the edible part of the fruit.

The juice extraction method is unique, because it enables them to obtain the maximum quantity of antioxidants from the peel while at the same time preserving the exceptional taste of the "Mollar Elche" variety. This is why the products are enriched with peel extracts, which have high Punicalagin contents, and seed extracts with a high content of Omega 5. Studies show how Granatum Plus is the pomegranate juice with the best quality with respect to the other European brands that were examined.
