POM Wonderful juice blends continue to grow

POM Wonderful introduced three new juice blends this past summer, and the blends, like the rest of POM's diverse product offerings, have enjoyed growing success.

Pom Wonderful is well known for their pomegranate juice, but in addition to the 100% POM juice they've also introduced juice blends. This past June, POM unveiled three new blends.

“We launched POM Coconunt, POM Hula and POM Mango in June,” said Marc Seguin, vice president of marketing for POM Wonderful, “and they've quickly become best sellers.” He added that the new juice blends are a good way for consumers to enjoy the nutritional benefits of pomegranate juice in new formats.

“We are always innovating at POM Wonderful and pairing our POM Juice with on-trend and fast-growing fruit juices,” said Seguin. “The new blends allows us to grow the category by giving families another way to enjoy the benefits of 100 percent pomegranate juice in a refreshingly light and delicious way.”

POM POMS Fresh Arils further diversify POM's offerings. The arils offer nutrients such as vitamin C, potassium and fiber and are packed in a convenient 100-calorie 4.3 oz. single serve package and 8 oz. family size. They're available this month through January. Seguin noted that the convenience of the product makes it a snack that packs a nutritionally dense punch.

“We've found when consumers realize the pomegranate taste they love is available in a grab-and-go package, they buy them many times throughout the season,” said Seguin. In addition to the arils, POM Wonderful also sells Wonderful Pistachios, which are grown and packed in California's Central Valley.

Also grown in the Central Valley are Wonderful Halos, which are mandarins that are grown by Paramount Citrus. They are sold in three-pound bags, five-pound bags and five-pound boxes, and they are exported to Australia, Japan and China in addition to being sold in the U.S.
